Hotpot is the most popular traditional type of cuisine in certain regions of China, based in the city of Chongqing, which has more than 900 years of history. At LIU YI SHOU HOTPOT, we prepare this recipe, one of the most traditional and tasty.

It is a hotpot cooked directly on the table, which can contain one to four different broths (you can choose them). And then, you directly put all kinds of selected ingredients into it: meat, fish, seafood, vegetables or mushrooms. Once the food is prepared, you can seasoned with one of the sauces made in our buffet.

Our “hot pots” are fully enjoyable in 4 simple steps:

    1. Select one, two, or up to four broths (ideal for sharing) within a 7 flavor selection. You will find a spicy option (spicy Sichuan style broth), and a suitable option for vegetarians (mushroom broth). There is a broth for every style or taste! Then, choose the different dishes from more than 80 ingredients in our menu. Meat, fish, seafood, vegetables, mushrooms, and pasta.
    2. Once the broth is served, the cooking method of the hot pot is directly put all kinds of selected ingredients into the pot bottom (cooking time may vary, our waiters are happy to advise).
    3. Once cooked the ingredients that are directly from the pot, you can mix it in a dish that has been prepared in advance. The dish can contain a variety of sauces (more than 20 condiments) such as sesame cream, coriander or soybean oil will enhance the flavor of the dishes. You can try as many as you want!
    4. And finally, enjoy!

The Hotpot is a broth, but it is not a soup.

In the menu, there are many vegetarian options and there are for those who enjoy trying different dishes (and traditional Chinese cuisine) for instance: cow stomach (the traditional Spanish “callos”), fresh goose intestines, pig throat, and some more.

This different way of cooking and eating is nutritious and original at the same time. So, this is an experience to live in LIU YI SHOU HOTPOT Barcelona.
